Future 3D Additive Manufacturing – the 3DMM2O Conference 2020: 3D Hybrid Organotypic Systems will take place in Schöntal Monastery, Germany, from March 29 to April 2, 2020.
Schöntal Monastery is a former Cistercian abbey (foundation 1157) located in the southern part of Germany between the cities Heilbronn and Bad Mergentheim. It is nestled in a truly idyllic location: on the banks of the winding Jagst River in the district of Hohenlohe.
The abbey church houses the remains of Götz von Berlichingen, central figure of the play by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Overlooking the Jagst River, the nice baroque architecture with its two big towers and the unique and peaceful location of Schöntal Monastery provide the perfect atmosphere for the conference.
Even though Schöntal Monastery is located in a rural region, the surroundings offer further attractive opportunities for sightseeing and holidays. The cities of Stuttgart and Würzburg are close, but also Frankfurt and Nürnberg are easy to reach. Schwäbisch Hall with its beautiful historic city centre, the palace and garden of Weikersheim or Langenburg Castle are also located in the nearer surrounding area. For all sports enthusiasts, there are nice hiking and cycling trails around the monastery.
